XOXO

Four years ago, on this day, I married my best friend. Landon is the love of my life and I'm so lucky to have him forever. He is so much more than I could have ever hoped for in a husband and he's an even better daddy. I've shared the best moments of my life with him and look forward to all that is still to come. He's made so many of my dreams come true and sticks by me in all my craziness. I love him so much!

We were sealed in the Mesa Temple August 19, 2006

He was such a great support when I was in school
and pushed me to keep going when I wanted nothing more but to give up.

We've been on so many adventures together.

We bought our first home together.

He lets me drag him to things like homecoming.

My birthday's are always a blast!

I let him drag me places like Mexico when I'm pregnant.

We get to be parents to the most beautiful little girl!
(yeah, I look terrible. 36 hrs of labor and a c-section will do that to you)

The good times just keep on rollin'.

Happy Anniversary!

Fun and Fireworks!!

I was a little unsure of how 4th of July weekend would turn out because there's a little rift in parts of my family right now. We usually get to visit with all of my mom's cousins and their kids, but some of our favorite people were not going to be around. I was pretty sad at first and not all that sure I wanted to celebrate in Benson, but it was a pretty fun couple of days. My mom's cousin Jamie and her husband James had their annual 4th of July party on the third. There was lots of yummy food, desserts, and little ones for Rory to play with. She filled up on fruit salad and showed off some of her walking skills. The next morning we woke up early and got ready to go to Landon's parent's house for breakfast. I was really looking forward to some of Janice's homemade cinnamon roles... mmmmm.

I've gotten a little into crafting - especially tutu's.
It's weird for me, but Rory just looks so darn cute!

All ready to go!

After breakfast, we headed to my Nana and Tata Mendoza's house to watch the parade. I've been doing this pretty much my entire life, so it was a lot of fun to have Rory there with all the family.
Rory and my mom.
I think they look alike.

My cousin Daniel showed up in his new 'do.

Everyone in the parade, loved Rory's tutu!
She loved all the big snorts (fire trucks).

The parade ended with way too few tractors - one year I counted 28. We had hot dogs and ice cream at Jeremy and Nicole's house. They were nice enough to let us come over after spending the entire weekend before with us. Jayden really wanted to play with Rory. It was crazy cute. He wanted her to ride his quad with him and then wanted to watch Kung Fu Panda with her. We later stopped at my great grandma's house to hang with my mom's family. It was nice seeing everyone who made it down. Dinner was at Lan and Janice's. Landon's sister and one of his brother's were down with their families. It was a nice and laid back evening. Janice was nice enough to watch Rory so Landon and I could watch fireworks from the park. I was afraid the noise would scare her. We got to the park just in time to find my family at their usual spot next to the Ramada and settle onto a blanket before the show began. I love watching fireworks cuddled up with my love.

Me and my Tata Woods.

For having so many places to go and so many people to visit it was actually a really relaxing day. After church on Sunday, we were invited to another of my mom's cousin's house to go swimming. We only live 5 minutes from them, but rarely make it over to their house. Rory loved the water!!! Unfortunately I didn't take a camera. She went crazy splashing and getting herself wet. It was so much fun! Thankfully Rory's first 4th was a great one!

Califonia here we come...

I know it's crazy late, but I'm trying to catch up since the last post.

We had our second annual 'adult' vacation with The Sherman's at the end of June. It was pretty fun, but exhausting. The boys had planned the Mexico excursion last summer, so Nicole and I took over planning this summer. Originally, we were going to leave early Friday morning, but Landon called in sick to work and talked everyone into leaving Thursday night. We left around midnight and spent the rest of the night in Yuma at the Microtel. You can tell it's pretty shmancy from the name. We all got ready that morning in the tiny room we shared and put on our Sunday best. When we left around 9:00 am, the temperature was already well into the 100's. We stopped to buy Landon a tie, and then headed to San Diego. We arrived in San Diego around the same time we would have if we had left that morning, but I guess our night in Yuma broke up the drive some. Nicole and Jeremy wanted to go to the Temple while we were in Cali and I'm so happy they did. Landon and I were a little unsure about it, but it was definitely worth the extra drive. It was soooo beautiful. We ate lunch there and then waited almost an hour to do a session. I guess it's pretty slow in the evenings, so they only do one session an hour. I could not get over how few people were actually there. Jeremy and Nicole got to be the witness couple. After, we took a ton of pictures that were all AMAZING!

This is my favorite!

The next day we went to Disneyland. We were there from about 8 am to midnight. Landon and I kinda led Jeremy and Nicole around. We usually go every summer on our own, so we have a routine. I felt a little bad for them - especially when Landon made them ride Pirates of the Caribbean a second time. It was a ton of fun though. I spent most of the day wet because they loved Splash Mountain and actually talked Landon into going on it more than once. Lines were awesome and the weather was great!

Landon and I on his favorite ride - Thunder Mountain Railroad.

We left the park to walk to Bubba Gump Shrimp.
It was totally worth the 10 minute trek.

We decided to skip Hollywood Blvd. and just drive home Sunday morning. The boys went West instead of East and got us lost. Luckily we were close to the ocean and decided to make a pit stop.

Jeremy and Nicole passed out on the way home.

It really was a great trip; however, I look forward to whatever laid back vacation the boys plan next year.
